Help! Experiencing a constant state of euphoria while driving new WRX.

Hi all, just picked up my 1st WRX yesterday (60 miles on it!) 2013 Hatchback, Plasma Blue. This is my 5th Subaru. 2 in New Zealand and now my my 3rd here in California.

Hey what's the best BOV I can get for under $20?

Nah! Just kidding folks. I'm not much of a tuner. But I sure do love this plasma breathing blue beast.

I've come from an 8-12mpg Land Rover to this vehicle, so all that talk about the low gas mileage your getting - forget it! I'm gonna save over $200/month in gas on this thing!

As I said, I had a Land Rover before this, with full time 4wd, and I decided then that I will never buy a car with 2wd again. No comparison! Until someone drives a 4wd car, they will not understand the difference, the feeling of being so firmly planted on the road at all times. The taking off from a light and the front wheels don't sit there and spin, making you look like a douche for trying to power off in a front wheel drive.

So yes I'm super happy to be back in a Subaru, and even more that it's a WRX. Even even more that I got it super cheap and they paid off my Land Rover for me!!!

Cheers have a great weekend all!
    Brett

Welcome! The title says "State of euphoria" yet in the second line it changes to California... Just saying...
Keep up the sprits, keep it cool at the same time. These cars can (and sometimes do) kill. Just saying...
I know what you're going thru, have the same issue, gotta keep it reigned-in. Just saying...

Again, welcome. PS: you made it just within May, so you're going to be a month older in membership that otherwise... Just saying....
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

Thanks folks! Looking forward to many miles of fun. Still haven't figured out what I'm going to do to the wee beastie blue beastie yet. Gotta put more miles on it. Right now in fact!

    Cheers

You probably shouldn't drive under the influence. It's illegal and carries hefty fines.

This. Thus, the car probably doesn't deserve any credit.

Have fun and stay out of trouble. I just turned 35K on my 11 Limited. The car has been perfect reliability wise thus far.

Nice post...i've posted similarly in the past when I hit Stg2!

However, I am currently not feeling euphoric. Would anyone care to send me your ID1000's and a fuel pump so I can smoke some corn through my car and get high again!!!!

    I'm in Redondo Beach.
Gonna take some pics this weekend and post them up.

    Minor upcoming mods...
Looking at getting a grill for the scoop, and I saw someone here put awesome orange/yellow reflective tape on the "WRX" logo in the front grill. Gonna try and do that and a decent tint.

    Cheers all!

    I wouldn't do that.

It has been shown that putting a grill in the scoop could lower the efficiency of your TMIC because a it limits air flow by upwards of 30% or more.
