    New owner of '13 WRX

    Hello All,

I just brought a brand new base model WRX. Never driven a WRX or a Subaru in fact. But fell in love once I test drives the car and brought it right away. Hope you guys can help me with a few pointers in keeping this car in great shape and have fun tuning this car.

Thanks guys. I have a question. it might be a dumb question. i want HIDs on this car but i have been hearing it cannot be done if you dont have the HIDs provide with the limited version of the wry. Is there a way and if so how?

Retrofits or buy some STI HID headlights

    HID Retrofit

I was looking at these since they add up close to what a retrofit would cost me to do.

    DEPO 08-11 HID Headlight

The one thing I like about the retrofit is since you already have the headlight open it would be east to install Daytime Running Light angel eyes

The retrofit sounds like it could take anywhere from 3+ hours. I have yet to do it. Keep reading up on it and you can get a feel. I believe you will need to take off the front bumper cover to remove the lights. If your not comfortable taking body pieces off of your car it can take a while. I decided to attack my stereo and other things before I attempt to retrofit HID's and when I do I am going to make sure to give myself a weekend just to get everything lined up correctly and properly sealed.

Congratulations! Nice looking ride! I just bought my '13 hatch a few weeks ago, just about 1,500 miles and loving every bit of it!

    Enjoy!
