Couple more days till my brand new '13 WRX :D

New member, decided to become a member before I even get my wrx. Talking to the dealer and waiting for them to drop the price to match my USAA savings. They wanted to be a stickler so I just gave them my number and waiting for the call lol and if they don't call ill just go to a dif dealer. But im super excited, always wanted a wrx since the first time I heard one back in middle school. And now 4 years in the air force and I can finally afford one! I have one newb question and I know the older forum members bash but , Do cat back exhausts void warranty? Cuz that's the only thing im probably going to mod on the car is Exhaust and intake and maybe the downpipe thing hah :P.

    welcome and congrats

nothing can "void" your warranty but certain mods can cause a claim to be denied if they link the mod back to whatever caused the issue.

generally speaking, depending on your dealer you should be perfectly fine with a catback. its not a performance mod, its just a noisemaker.

once you start modifying the downpipe and tuning the vehicle, thats where you may run into a problems with your dealership.

To add to what Dez said, the intake will be an issue too. On a 2013, you don't want to add an intake without also adding an appropriate tune for that intake. The catback is really the only bolt-on that you can safely add without tuning.

I got the call at 5 pm yesterday! Full price with doc fees, tax etc is - 27500. They have a option for 1200$ more is free oil changes for life of the car, and free check ups till 30 thousand miles. Im going to be dropping half of that as a down payment and financing the wrest so I still have spending money. So gonna go straight from dealer to godspeed and get a catback lol.

Yea I did a little research on the intake, saying it needs a COBB access port and I looked up a full tune at godspeed and its like 1700$ package, with exhaust, access port and intake. I am coming from a 2011 kia forte koup so I honestly think a stock wrx will be more then enough for me to handle. Thanks for being nice im literally jumping up and down haha

You might want to do a quick search on here and read reviews for Godspeed before you consider going there

Congrats! I am still waiting on the call and I'm 11 weeks in. Enjoy your car.
