i didn't know it could be that cheap, that is waaaaay cheaper, and i'd have a spare
mine still works fine, just the actuator's rod is all rusted
    (poor mistreated Shoopster)

It's probably just surface rust anyway...if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

i tried to take a picture but can't really see it with the heatshield on
    you probably knew this though
it's not just rusted, it's pretty badly corroded
I'd rather not wait til it breaks, because when things break, it's never at a good time

Ahhh corrosion is a different story now! That is something I'd look into replacing. I imagine it's straight forward though.

Today I saw a Mazda (m3 Protege) that wishes it were a Shoopster...

Notice the special added touch of the faux-scoop -- literally and figuratively, a backwards piece of plastic. And no, there is no opening for any air to get into anything, it's totally just for "the look".

    The look of FAIL

Unfortunately the person who took the picture for me didn't get the nearly-identical-yet-not spoiler in the pic

It was like one of those photo-ops in renovation magazines, where they reproduce the 'expensive' look on the cheap.

Also, I've heard parking beside old "JDM" Civics will really up the aesthetic marks on your car for a very low cost. All you need to do is withstand their annoying jabs, race requests, threats, and modification lists (that consist of mainly stickers and a CAI). Fun isn't it!

Had I known! About 10 minutes after I took this pic, there were four of them at the air pump (in the background).
But they are so common that I didn't think it pic-worthy. There'll be other opportunities.
