    Sti clutch issue.

Hi everybody. I'm a newby to this forum, or forums in general. Anyway I bought a 2006 sti a month ago and was told by the seller it has a ceramic clutch in it. Well maybe or maybe not? It's very unpredictable. Sometimes it really grabs and other times it is like a regular clutch. Only when taking off. Does this sound right?any help is much appreciated

Someone made a bad decision when they replaced that clutch... Ceramic clutch discs are much better with heat, but that often means some strange driving characteristics. If it's not slipping and you're not having issues getting the car to move, it's just the clutch being what it is. I wouldn't worry about it until you start having problems with it.

Clutch jobs aren't cheap or fun, so I would say stick with it until you have to change it again. That is unless you get bored on a weekend and have money burning a hole in your pocket.

Ok.its not slipping. I was just making sure this was normal behavior for a clutch of this nature. Thanks for the info makes me feel a lot better about it.
