Rex me!! Now I understand the thrill.

    Hey All,

Just bought a second hand WRX MY03 wagon yesterday. Its my first ever Turbo, let alone Subaru.. It completely stock with 120,000km's on the clock bought from a second owner.

It's an automatic, (don't boo me too hard!!)

Now I have had several Holden V8's (Torana's and a VT clubsport) and my first drive last nite, I couldn't stop smiling..

Mod plans..hard to know. I think i'll keep it stock for a month to get a real feel of it, and then work out where to go.

    In my mind i'm thinking.
*Full 3'in Exhaust, including dump pipe.. (Xforce maybe? Not sure.. don't want it too loud, but also want more performance) Still learning about turbo's and realising they are a very different beast..
Sports Suspension Kit.. I can only imagine how amazing the handling could be if i get the set up right!!.. Not interested in lowering it though.

Have a modest budget. (7k max) so yeah open to ideas and suggestions. I want to make it a real sleeper, with out getting pulled over every day.. After all im not a youngster any more.. Would love to chat with people who can explain it all to this Rex Noob...

    regards
    DF

Welcome and congrats! A good start would be going Stage 2, you'll notice some nice gains there. After that, it gets expensive. You want a new turbo? You need supporting mods (yay)! Read this link for some good info.
