    Plasti Dipping my wheels..

Well it was a BEAUTIFUL day here in Virginia. I was off from work and had nothing to do. After watching countless videos on YouTube on how to plasti dip wheels, I decided to give it a go. I tried the "notecard" method but with the slightest wind gust they all blew over. So I said screw it lol. Here are some pictures of the process.

hate to say it, in 6 months they look like garbage and start to peel. Rattle can is better of 2 evils. Plasti dip is not for wheels, although theyll look good for a while. I learned the hard way and murdered my factory wheels on a BMW I had. Or you re-do them every 6 months. Also, this stuff does not come off by peeling....

Tthey get beat up ANY time you have to take the car to get a tire put on, work done where the wheels come off, etc. Better to sell the stock rims, and buy powder-coated ones.

Looks good, but plasti-dip is not all it seems unfortunately...

Or get your current wheels powdercoated. Not too expensive and very durable.

I used the plasti dip kinda like a test to see if I would like black wheels or not. I'm not expecting the PD to last long.
