    Cat back exhaust

    Hey everyone.
So, I'm in the market for a new exhaust system. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the Invidia Q300 dual tip. My question is, is it safe to start with a catback exhaust without doing any other mods yet. A bit down the road I'd like to do an intake and the Cobb access port but I'm not ready to purchase those as well at this time. What do you think?

Good plan! I started with that plan, then it changed to "well, I'll just wait til I'm past the halfway point of the warranty."

I have the spt and I'd like to suggest you take a look at the Greddy Elite for our cars. It really fits the space well underneath the rear bumper. The sound is a deeper note which sounds pretty slick.

I couldn't help myself

Before you get the Q300 I'd suggest you listen to it first before buying. Especially if you have a hatchback.

I've heard the Q300 drones something fierce on the hatchback. Is this true for the sedan as well?

Anyone who has a loud catback ever dynomat their trunk? If so, did you find that it helped with the interior noise levels?

All hatchbacks have the drone problem. Some exhausts drone more, some less. The Q300 is one of the worst.

No, dynamat does nothing for drone. Dynamat is sound deadening material. Sound isolation is what you are looking for. Closed cell foam is what you want to use.
