Hey guys/gals bought my WRX a couple weeks ago and am really impressed with everything about the car.(except the brakes) I spent a couple months researching the best sedan for under $30k and the wrx won by a landslide. I'm looking forward to soaking up some Subaru knowledge and hopefully meeting some fellow owners in SW MO.![]()

If you are driving in summer tires through snow & can't stop.brakes are not the issue.

Thanks guys,
The ol summer tires keep me on my toes in the snow lol. I noticed brakes on a dry warm day..car can't be perfect from the factory (it's close though)
Welcome and congrats! Definitely invest in some winter tires (and, if possible, separate wheels as well, just makes everything easier) for those slippery months out there! These cars + winter tires + snow = amazing.
What did you have before this car?

Ty! I plan on getting some nice winter tires and wheels, can't wait to play next winterThought it was going to be another "snowless" winter. I had a 10 camaro SS and a 04 Z71 tahoe (divorce sucks)

Weird you say that...the brakes are generally very good for these cars.
However, there's plenty that can be done to improve them. A good set of Hawk HPS pads, stainless steel lines, and perhaps a master cylinder brace will really help you out and not be overall too expensive.
