Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.
Remove the piece covering the spare wheel and see if that's it. If not, keep removing.

More than likely it's the large plastic panel behind the rear seat head rests. Mine rattled like crazy.
For me, the noise was the most pronounced when I had slowed slightly with out down shifting, then started to accelerate. Throttle application in 4th gear from about 1500 rpm sounded like there was a pack of hummingbirds caged in my trunk.

Thanks everyone! I have spt exhaust, and it's pretty loud( that's probably why). I will try to find out where is it came from
Yes djk5077 that's exactly when the noise get significant loud!
I figured so. I mostly followed this guide to get mine fixed. I didn't bother with the foam strip along the back edge between the panel and the window though. And with that rattle fixed, now I can hear all the other ones in my car! That one was by far the worst though.

Mine was the sunroof bolts. Take it to the dealer and have them figure it out that's what warranties are for
It is the large plastic panel behind the seats. Mine was rattling right where the middle seat's seatbelt mechanism met that large plastic piece, and was remedied by adding small adhesive felt pads between the white plastic cup the mechanism sits in, and where it meets the plastic. Took me 20 minutes to fix, and I've never heard a rattle since. I also removed the rattles on the a-pillars, and am happy to report I have a 100% rattle free car in all temperatures!
EDIT: Here is a very thorough walk through on how to fix all the rattles. Linky linky
Thank you very much!!
Turn the stereo up. Problem solved![]()
