I came from a RSX-S six speed...I've gotten used to the 5 speed and in fact have moved a short shifter from the top of my mod list to the current bottom.

The more I look for AWD alternatives the more I keep coming back to the WRX. For the price there is nothing else worth talking about.

The lancer ralliart is AWD and a pretty fun car for around the same price as the WRX, BUT, and it's a big but, I think its only tranny option is a 6 speed auto-stick... I went with a new WRX a couple months ago and wanted the 3rd pedal. Also, the mitsubishi's don't hold their value nearly as well as the subaru's. If you go look at price's of a 2011 or 2012 WRX's they are still like $25k. A buddy of mine tried to trade in his ralliart (he paid $30k for it new with options 3 years ago), and they offer him $16k! Ouch!
