    Cool New member here

Hello, I own a '11 wrx. Just bought it 2 months ago and decided to join this thread I'm fairly new to subarus and I was wondering if I need to upgrade my bov to get a cool whooshing sound because I heard a Cobb intake could do that too? Sorry for my noobness

I can'r speak for the BOV, but that's a nice looking ride. I am fairly new here myself, so welcome.

Most people would suggest to skip getting a BOV. I have an AEM CAI and you can definitely here the turbo spool and "whistle." The COBB SF intake will do that, too. Make sure to get a tune of some kind if you do decide to get an intake.

    Welcome and congrats!

An aftermarket intake will give you the sound. You need to tune for the intake.

An aftermarket BOV will also give you the sound, but are generally not considered to be a good addition to these cars as they are potentially damaging.
