I just bought my first WRX (2002 sedan) a week or so ago... it's sure to be a learning experience! The amount of information available here is staggering, and it's going to take ages to sift through it all.
It's good to meet you guys, and I look forward to sharing my experiences while learning from yours.

Well, first I've got a couple kinks to work out. I had been looking for one for awhile, but somebody decided to total my previous car out, so time became a concern. Thus, I bought this one more quickly than I probably should have. Between work and class, I'm working on straightening out an erratic idle and finding out exactly what all is on the car already. It's got an intake and GReddy catback for sure, and a couple of cosmetic things that I will likely undo in time.
It was a trade-in car, and my current concerns are figuring out what the previous owner did to it. He obviously had several bolt-ons that he removed before trading it in, and I'm not wholly convinced that the stock parts were put on carefully enough for my taste, so a thorough investigation is in order. There's an ECU jumper switch in place, so he played around with OpenSource... and I'm not sure whether a stock tune was restored.
Once I have everything in good working order, I plan to finish the exhaust out first, get ahold of an AP, and then get the exterior to my liking in the short-term. No telling where I'll go from there, but I certainly don't need a 500whp beast as a daily. Like everyone says on "A Christmas Story," I'd shoot my eye out. Or have a close encounter with a brick wall...
<edit> double-post. Knology sucks!
Welcome and good luck! You've come to right place. These guys can certainly help you get your suby back up to speed.
Definitely good luck with everything!
Also is your user name in reference to the band subhumans?

Ha, not really... I just fake it well.
It just dawned on me that I never shared a pic! Oops...
I have since taken the wing spacers out (it was just too much for me). I intend to paint the wheels before much longer, as I can't really stand the gold, and don't have the cash for wheels and tires at the moment. Scoop re-paint while I'm at it, fogs, lower grille... other than that, it doesn't look bad. It was re-painted at one point, and whoever did it did a damn good job, although a little more clear couldn't have hurt. I would also like to get a wingless deck, and possibly a stock scoop for the time being... I've currently got no need for the larger one.
