Congratulations. The smell is quite normal. Not sure if it is your clutch.
My new car had all sorts of burning smells for the first few days. Wasn't the clutch for sure.

Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.
Thanks for the kind words everybody. I forgot that a new clutch might burn a little to break in. My first ever "new" car so it's all quite different.

Welcome, smell is normal, I'd say its a mixture of clutch and other parts getting warm. I always thought a new exhaust smelled funny the first few times it ran.
Just ordered my winter tires from tirerack. Got the 16" steelies and Michelin X-Ice Xi3. Should be here by Monday. I won't even be mad if we don't get any more snow for the season, I'l just have them for next year. I will be mad because I won't be able to go do subie things in the snow though![]()
My Blizzak's were new in early 2011. The first time they saw snow was this morning![]()

Oh and my Rally Armor mud flaps came in the mail today. Installing them this weekend. Should be good fun after the tires come in and we get some snow around here again.
