I don't want to sound like a jerk but it sounds like your incapable of going the speed limit not the car. Unless you have a google car wrx and its driving for you. Seriously though? You can't just let off the gas?

I've got a huge problem with my WRX. I wanted to see if other owners are having the same problem?? It doesn't matter if it's a 30MPH or 65MPH zone, it appears that my WRX is incapable of doing the speed limit. Highway on and off ramps as well as deserted mountain roads are where you can really notice the problem. Surprisingly I've had decent results in 15MPH school zones and when police cars are around but it seems that everywhere else me and the WRX go we are consistently about 40MPH over the legal limit. I wanted to see if anyone else has had any of these issues? I am on my way to the dealer where I bought the car and I am going to ask them if there is anything we can do about it but I'm not holding my breath.

I think its more driver error than the car, get off the gas for a bit.

Sorry, no political figures are to be discussed on the forum. (per the rules, available in the FAQ link at the top of the page)
I think the original poster was just having some fun with the fact that the WRX is a sporty car that likes to be driven hard, and meant no harm by anything. It's safe to say that, on average, most of us speed a little or a lot. I try to stay within 5'ish mph of the limit, but have been known to go a little faster when a nice curve is in the mix, and no one is around.
All things in moderation, and pay attention to what's going on. That's all we can ask.
edit: oops, just saw that you're talking about 40mph over the limit. That's not moderation. Never mind. Slow the hell down.

I tend to have that problem, but usually it's only limited to ~10 over the limit. I drive a 2011; it's possible Subaru put a few tweaks to the 2013 model that makes it go faster.![]()
