    Letter from Subaru? Anyone?

    Hey everyone,

To all those who own a WRX 2011, did you get a letter from Subaru saying that they developed a modification to the engine control module?

This basically sounds like they want to re-flash the ECU from my understanding. My only issue is if this is necessary when I'm already on Cobb Stage 1 map?

I have attached the bulk of the letter.

If anyone could chime in that would be great!

I think that you should have them re-flash and then you go back to cobb stage 1. stage 1 is easy enough to just reflash and if you ever go to sell your car, it should have all the correct ECU parameters and settings

^^ Agreed. Especially considering the letter specifically states that there is no alteration to performance.

I just got a letter about a week or two ago and plan to get it done on my next visit to the dealer.

So I take it you mean first flash back to stock then take it to the dealer, have them flash, then bring it back home and flash back to stage 1?

    OR

Just take it straight to them and let them do there flash which will probably over-write the existing ecu settings and then just flash over that back to stage 1?
