    Hello from Los Angeles,

just registered no car yet..I'm currently shopping for a 2013 WRX. Probably a sedan.
Also interested in the 2013 outback 2.5L.

Replacing my trusty 14 y.o Honda civic with 200K

Looking for feedback from owners: Awd, mpg, cargo space, price..

Need it for work commute and outdoors trips ( high desert, snow trips...) as well as family outings ( have 2 kids)

thanks and see you on the boards.

A hatch is practical. Your Honda used less fuel. The turbo Impreza comes with summer tyres so you will need at least all seasons to go skiing. They're good cars but not Hondas in both good points and bad. Drive before you buy. Welcome.

thanks ! the honda has been reliable but boring.
I have been a fan of the Subarus since the days of Colin McRae (showing my age here..lol)

Age is just a number. Before Colin McRae, there was his father, Jimmy McRae, in a variety of cars... Time flies...

The Subaru is more interesting, again in every sense. I wish Honda made Subarus if that makes sense. However my 02 is dependable if a touch unrefined. For the same $ I'd buy another. Not for more though.

Go drive the Subarus, they are fun and relatively sensible too, plus they're safe.

found a base wrx sedan silver color that has the "Option Package 01 Standard Model"..what option is it ?
also the base model does not come with fog lights. How easy is it to do it myself or should I negotiate the install with the dealer when buying the car ?

Install is pretty easy. The car is prewired. The fog light kit costs about $300. If you can negotiate that into the price of the car it would of course save you the trouble. But then if you are financing the car you are paying interest on the fog lights.

If you like doing that stuff you might be better off with the hatch. I have a sedan and go snowboarding and biking and stuff like that and wish I had the extra space in the back.
