hey everyone, im new to this forum and to subaru in general. finally got my brand spankin new 2013 wrx 4dr in black on november 21st ( had six miles on it ) and these past 2 weeks have been awesome! this car is amazing, the vids and info on the internet don't do these cars justice at all. anyway, im about to hit my 1000 mile break-in and was wondering if i should change my oil now or wait til 7500 miles like the manual says? also, any suggestions for some first time mods? thanks guys!

Look at the build date on the vehicle. The oils change interval is 6 months 7500 miles. If the build date was 6 months ago, change the oil.

Congratulations on the ride! I have a 2013 5 door limited arriving mid January! People always jump on others for that question, since there are many threads out there. It's really personal opinion to do the first oil change at 1,000 miles. I think I will for the approx. 30$ to do it yourself. Enjoy! Hope this helps.
