& just in case you didnt see it in previous lurkings: you'll want to make sure you plan on getting a tune or some sort of engine management for the intake & downpipe.

Hey all, been lurking around this site for a month or so after I've started wanting to do some modding to my 2011 WRX. Definitely new to the tuning scene and wanted to get inputs on best bang/$ mods.
Was looking at intake, downpipe (have seen this is usually a highly recommended change), and possibly exhaust if it's needed after either of the previous two.
I do have some amazon gift cards that would take this K&N (below) down to $150 shipped, would this be a good place to start?
69-8004TTK - K&N 69 Series Typhoon Kits, Performance Intake Kit direct from K&N
Also curious where PHX members get their WRX/STI's worked on if you don't do it yourself; not sure I'd trust myself with anything other than the intake but that just looks like cake.
welcome!
