    My first WRX drive!

First off, I am a serious buyer, a grown adult and not a kid with a good job.
Went to my local dealership in Newport News and not only do they mark up all the WRX and STI's 3k-5k, which other dealers in this area do not, but they would not let me drive the STI unless I was going to buy it.
I laughed in the Sales Managers face and told him, that if I am about to spend thousands of dollars on a car I either get to drive it or I won't buy it.
Thus, I drove a WRX instead of the STI and he lost the sale due to that attitude and their marked up prices.
Anyway, I was VERY impressed by the WRX, as it had a factory/dealer installed (?) cat back exhaust that made it sound bad ass...better than the STI with stock exhaust.
The acceleration was incredible as was the handling.
The only thing I did not like was the plastic intake(?) versus the metal on the STI.
Thus, I am now trying to decide shoudl I get a 2013 or wait for the redesign next year?

Ah the intake manifold...the plastic on the WRX is actually less prone to heat soak.

But yeah, that attitude is horrible. I hate dealers that do that. It was good of you to walk away.

We can't answer that, as we don't know your needs/wants in a car any better than you know yourself. We also have zero hard information about what the next car will look like/feature. There is plenty of rampant speculation, sure, but Subaru will unveil it when they're good and ready, and all of the "facts" about the 2014 model are bumpkis at this point.

Make a list of what you need in a new car, and if the 2013 supplies those, then great. If not, look elsewhere, or you could wait and see what they come up with next.
