Here's the story of Toby the wagon.
A few days after we got him:
Toby came into our lives November 2011 and, as with all "great deals", fell a part in a hurry. It all began with boost issues out the a**hole (wouldn't hold more than 6-8 psi) then the turbo finally died (blown seal) and motor popped a head gasket. Thankfully the exterior is in better-than-expected shape for a 10-year old car so there's that.
Commence Operation: Resurrection. Not going crazy, but making the daily warrior more fun and respectable.

Welcome. Glad to hear you saved what seems to have been an almost dead wrx. That quite the list. I would love to some day have a 110hp increase on mine. Im working on getting a cobb tune on it to hopefully hit 300. Maybe a down pipe too.

Welcome! That's a good start to your mod list! Brake mods next?
EDIT:
Derp! Just read the end of your post... I would honestly suggest a good set of pads, rotors, brake lines, and fluid to start. Consider the H6 rear brake mod since you have altered your F/R bias with the springs. The FHI 4/2s won't be much of an improvement over the stock brakes, and the Brembos really aren't necessary unless you are tracking the car. Though admittedly, both brake setups look much nicer over the OEM. FWIW I run a Prodrive front BBK and H6 rear brakes... but I would be fine with the stock hardware and upgraded components.

Getting there. Not much to look at right now.

Bugeye wagon has been my dream since they came out. Finally got one! w00t.
I did some reading and came up on that same information regarding the 4/2-pot setup. I will be doing Brembo upgrade as the philosophy for this car is "more than necessary" (hence the built motor for a VF-48). Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Besides the Brembos are, how kids say these days, "ballin'".
Glad to be here.

Those are reputable wheels. Does the car handle or feel different now?
