Not too shabby for a first time drag race

Well all I can say is that my wrx impressed me. My school held drag races yesterday at Maple Grove Raceway. Throughout the day I ran mid to low 15's without launch control. Towards the elimination rounds my fastest time was a 14.6. Not too bad for a bone stock WRX.

That seems a little slow still. I have an '08 with an automatic. It has an AEM CAI and SPT catback and a tune and I do 13.8 consistently on a 85 degree day. 200WHP / 291WTQ
But hey...at least you had fun.

You should definitely be able to get those times lower with more practice.

Good idea rolling off the line, imo, seeing a number isn't worth that launch to me.

I know...was just giving you a reference. My point was I didn't do too much to make my car faster and I'm guessing a stock 2013 has much more HP than my tuned 2008. Although my torque may be a little higher. A roll start would definitely explain it. That makes a good bit of difference.

Nicely done! I've never dragged, so I can't give any pointers

But from what I hear, Anthony Drags all the time! Just usually between the hours of midnight and 6AM, and usually on the corner of 14th and Massachusetts.

Hey, as long as the car is in one piece and still running without too much shrapnel, you made out good on a frag strip!

Stage 2, you'll be able to get near a 13 flat (05-07 STI territory! )

But definitely a good call on not launching. Make it last

This is my buddy in the blue 09 WRX and he ran a 13.1 with just the exhaust unbolted from the down pipe. But he launched the hell out of the car and he can make the car sound like it has a auto tranny
