Hey all. I'm currently in the market for a new car and the WRX caught my attention. After a test drive, I'm hooked, so I'm planning on getting one within couple months after I settle with some financial situations. So I'm just here to learn more about the community, the car, and the mechanics on the EJ25 so that I will know what to expect once I have it on my driveway.

A bit about myself. I'm a shipping manager and graphic designer for a women's clothing fashion company in Los Angeles. I like to draw cars whenever I have some free time, photography, I love to cook, build computers, and work on my car(s).

In the mean time, I own two cars. A 2003 Infiniti FX35 Sport Edition, and a 1997 Camry 5spd *Which is my daily/project car*.

So, I'll share some of my interests with some pictures.

    The Camry

Yes, manual does exist on Camrys.

    The FX

A drawing I did for a client a few months back.

    My cooking

    My designs

Hope to learn lots and meet some great people.

Welcome! Poke around, search, and don't be afraid to ask for opinions. I'm relatively new here but I can tell we have opinions here. ;D

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm going to go for the Plasma Blue Pearl, just the base model, no fogs, no deck lid, maybe a short throw.

Already making modification plans for it, maybe a intake and a exhaust for starters.

    Welcome.

AFAIK deck lids come standard. Aftermarket short throw shifter is preferred. And you can always add fogs later if you want to since the car is prewired.

Sounds good! Just FYI, and you may already know, but you need to tune for anything except a catback exhaust.

I have to tune it when I'm getting a intake? Really? Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up.

So how would one tune when getting a intake and BOV?

The trunk deck lid doesn't come standard for the base model last time I checked. Only the premium and limited has them as standard. Nevertheless, I don't really need one. Maybe I'll add a trunk lip spoiler later on.

Heyo. It's actually my first post here... but I believe I saw you and the Camry at Renick Subaru the other weekend? Was it the PBP STI out back that sold you on the color?

If this wasn't you then.. whoops. If it is; small world.

I guess it was. I've always loved how the PBP stood out and I always liked dark blue on cars, except for a few. Haha, the PBP Sti they had at the back confirmed it for me and I decided on that color.

    Small world indeed.
