Hey! I'm ALMOST a WRX owner! About a week and a half ago, I test drove a '12 premium 4D with 9K on it and I loved the test drive. I was going to order a new one at the same dealer, but the guy was SUPER shady and told me that I HAD to order it with wheel locks, the short shifter, and the homelink. Quite absurd, so my fiance stepped out and called another dealer and they said they could get me a base model with no add ons lol. Needless to say, we left pretty quick, and went down to the other dealer... Sorted out the numbers, and bam. 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX base 4D in WR Blue Pearl was reserved as of 9/2/12.
I should get the VIN by the end of this month, and the car is estimated to arrive by the end of October. I am so HAPPY and I am looking forward to my first Subaru. I have a car background, and I am a girl. (lol)
I currently have a tC. Bought it new back in '07 and it has 23K on it. It is my "show" car and doesn't really get driven much. I will be bagging it in a few weeks also. You may/may not have seen it on Canibeat:

Says October on my paper. My salesperson said more than likely the end of October. I don't even have a VIB for it yet.
As of plans, I have a spoiler in the mail. Plan on getting fogs, an exhaust, and maybe springs.

Lucky... I ordered mine 9/6/12 and it says ETA (total estimate at this point) December 2012... UGH... the dealer says he expects it sooner, but I wonder why yours estimates 2 whole months earlier??
What spoiler do you have ordered?
Probably because they already started the order process before I went to their dealership. I told my salesperson what I wanted (base WR Blue with no add ons) and he said they had one coming in and that I could place a deposit on it. So maybe that is the discrepancy there. I got the STI spoiler. (Flame away) I like the aesthetic appeal to it. And no, I'm not going to rebadge the whole car to to make it appear like it's an STI when it's not.

Probably not gonna feel the flames here for that. You aren't the first to put a STI wing on a WRX, won't be the last.
