I have a buddy who has a fairly well modded 2010 GTI, and was regarded as a visionary on the vw forums for modding towards driving, and not just slamming the suspension haha.

New member here, I have a 2012 VW Golf R. A good friend of mine has a 2012 STI, and I decided I'd join the forums... mainly because the VW community has that "Herra Flush or go home" attitude, and I'm more of a go faster type of guy. I don't fit in there, so maybe I'll join you guys in the never ending pursuit of speed.
Looking to learn about STI's and maybe even, enlighten some of you of the capabilities of my VW (it's no slouch, i promise you)

I love it, it's easy to daily drive, and still has enough pull to be a competitor to the subbie's and evo's.
welcome! i come from a VAG family. mom had an APR stage 1 a3 & CC, 2012 jetta. my brother had a stage 3 (?) 05 GLI, stage 2 '11 GTI, very fun '11 rabbit and a '12 TDI golf and currently has a 2012 jetta. {phew}

welcome, I had a 12 GTI for a little while, and have had many VW toys in the past.. biggest standout was a lightly modded 350whp gli. handled like a go-kart

Welcome to the forums!
I came from the VW world before the herrafrush thing started happening. Only had a 2003 GLI VR6 with an AEM intake, but it was a fun little car! Got rid of it before the electrical gremlins started killing it (car had just started to shut off on its own, as well as turn the radio and lights on, on its own).
Thus that brought me into the Subaru world in 2006!
