Whats up guys, I had a few questions to see if anyone knew how to remove the exhaust resonators from the 2013 wrx which is exactly the same as the 2012 wrx. I just removed my intake silencer and gotta say hearing the turbo spool and the air rush into the intake sounds great. Now to get my exhaust sounding alot more aggressive! Any help is appreciated guys!

The plastic piece that leads into the factory air box.
Was it this milk jug like thing? I ask because 08+ WRXs did not have intake silencers till now,although 08+ STI did have it.

That is a functional scoop to divert cool air into the air intake. You should leave that on there. There is no snorkus on the newer wrx only on the sti

+1 By removing that piece you're reducing the efficiency of the factory intake system. Also there is no intake silencer for 2011+ WRX that I know of.

What's the purpose of intake silencers? I mean would it hurt performance if this were removed?
Firstly, like stated before, the WRX doesn't have one.

Im not sure what the real name is its the black piece that acted as a funnel for the intake, im not too worried about efficiency as im getting a cobb sf intake soon, i just like the noise

That would be the air deflector that directs outside air to the intake. Without it hot air to the intake comes from the engine bay.
