getting an 03 WRX on thursday

I should be taking delivery of my 03 WRX on thursday. it's sonic yellow and has some silly racing stripes on it, buts its a damn good deal. It has 103K on it, the BA tranny, and the timing belt service is getting done right before I pick it up! can't wait to mod it. Im looking for a bit more pep out of it, nothing crazy, and some good sound. I'll worry about ascetics come spring time. Both bumpers are pretty messed up, but again, the engine is solid and that's what matters.

Im brand new to the subaru world, but have had a scion for the last 4 years and have modded it a lot. Currently it's on air bags with a custom system I made with a few friends and some killer Vienna Shalk wheels.

Im looking to do some performance mods on the wrx first. So far Ive heard that taking the cat out of the uppipe is a good first step and getting a new down pipe, but haven't read too much into it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some pics of the wrx:

yes, my scion is on air bags. I would never do that to a performance car. it works for the xB though.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys. Im really excited about it. It's actually the first time I'll own a 5 speed too.

    Welcome to the site

You mention the racing stripes but don't mention the stupid bumper stickers on there? They should go before the stripes...

Tomorrow can't get here soon enough for sure. The one thing that sucks is that Im getting it late in the day so I can't register it till friday.

I think my first step will be uppipe, downpipe, and intake. Open her up a bit and let her breathe a bit more.

kinda of like how i did mine lol. that way can resell AP for money for protune. but yea turboback and i think Cobb and AEM are the only intakes u can tune with the AP..think thats all. unless you get the software where u can change the AP tune to fit the other mods you want to put on. but just got with the AP and turboback, upipe until u get the new turbo setup and protune
