well plans are as follows lol 1st my wife's been pregnant the last 8 months so getting anything extra for the car is out of the question at this moment because just convincing her that I needed a 4 door and I wanted the WRX was a stretch, but after we get things squared away with the baby and I see what money I have (If any extra) I will be going with the Cobb AP prop just do stage one for now, then move onto stage 2 later down the road. I did however have a question for everyone, im new to subarus and WRX in general, I was told by my dealer theres 1000 mile break in period and to do nothing over 4000rpm, Is there any truth to that, I dont mind it its only 1k but just never got to really get on one yet and I know the turbo really doesnt kick in till after 3000rpms lol
Welcome
The break-in is a highly controversial subject. Many recommend following dealer instructions, many recommend a hard break-in. Up to you. The big thing is to vary RPMs (pretend you don't have cruise control until break-in is over) and put the engine under some load (to help the piston rings seal).

To me personal preference has no place here. Read the manual & do accordingly.

I think you chose the best color, if I do say so myself!
And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only "soon to be" father that went out and bought a 2012 WRX. I picked mine up on June 1st and my wife and I are expecting our first child on September 21st. So far I've been in the same boat as you, keeping the mods to a minimum until after the baby is born and I see what the money situation looks like. So far I've been able to upgrade the lighting, tint the windows and I squeezed in an axleback exhaust. I'm hoping to go stage 1 before the baby is born but we will have to see what happens in the next few weeks...
Either way, welcome and enjoy the WRX. I'm having a blast driving my new "family sedan". Haha!
