    Welcome to the club!

Wow, you're 18 and you're keeping it stock until the warranty expires?! You have to be the most levelheaded, patient 18 year old I've ever met!

I'm going to College in the Fall, I'm going to have to pay rent for my apartment so modding the subie isn't the most important thing on my mind right now

C'mon. This must be a fake post. No 18 year old can be that level headed and sensible.

Congrats on the car. Even unmodded it is a blast to drive - you will enjoy it AND have something to look forward to.

First of all CONGRATS! Second I'm jealous!! 18 years old and has a brand new '12 WRX..

Of course I would like to know how an 18 year old could afford to pay cash for the car and also how one can afford the insurance payments which are going to be HIGH.

    Couple words of advice:

    - Respect your ride and it will respect you!
    - Don't be stupid, follow the rules (...well, most of them) of the road.
    - Don't rice out your WRX

Now, onto the important question.... How did an 18 y/o pay for a WRX with cash? I want your parents!

He has been saving up since he was a kid. Parents gave him an allowance and he just kept banking it. Once he was able to work he started saving that money. He still lives at home and has no bills
