    My name is AJ,

I'm going to be purchasing a new Subaru STI Limited Edition, end of this month. My subbie order is arriving end of this month. I've been reading a bit on the brochure the dealer has given me. It mentions the STI recommends 93 octane to be put in the gas tank, but where I live (El Paso, TX) the highest octane gas I can find is only 91, is this going to be an issue? How can I resolve this issue, is there anything I can do. Thanks.

Your car will run fine, it will alter the ignition timing to make sure the car runs properly. I would also suggest getting an accessport and they have their performance tunes for 91 octane cars.

If you decide to get one, let me know.

    Welcome!

If you need any parts or advice, ask Kronos He seemed to have forgotten to mention that.

You should be fine with 91 octane. Many parts of the country only have 91. We here in NY on the other hand do not have 91,only 93.
