Hello Peoples!!!
New member to the the forum and the Subaru world. Just picked up last week a 2012 Obsidian Black Pearl Wagon and loving it. I come from a long line of Hondas so this whole torque/boost thing is amazing. My ride was White 93 Integera GS sooo this is a huge upgrade. Trying very hard to resist the modding bug...

That is truly beautiful. Those windows need some tint though!
Thank you!!!. Yeah tint is the first thing on the list to do...and maybe pick up a set of wheels and tires for the winter. I live in Virginia so there isn't too much snow for the most part but I am kind of looking forward to it now.![]()

Congrats on the purchase...my black wagon is only 3 weeks old jsut broke 2000km.....already modded a bit with cobb intake, magnaflow exhaust and awaiting cluster to go in ....also tinted windows and put rally armour flaps on...tint helps a tonne with the interior heat...would leave a pic but peeps on here think its showing off and leave nasty comments so i have a thread here in newbie as well if you want to check out exactly what the black looks like with the mods...again congrats and have fun!!!!
Congrats!!! I came from a turboed 96 civic so I know what you mean. The torque is awesome on these things and I always find myself accidentally speeding. Lol.

Instead of starting another thread to ask a question. I was wondering how strict Subaru is with their warranty. I was thinking about getting a short shifter either COBB or SPT but I dont know if that will effect the warranty in anyway.
Generally speaking, mods dont 'void your warranty." That being said, if you modify something and they can link the issue to what you modified, they can deny your claim. Basically, if you installed a short throw and your engine blew, I dont think they could blame on of the other, unless you installed it into your Turbo lol

Depends on the dealership....i kept all the stock crap and nuts and bolts etc...in case anything goes horribly wrong could revert back with out any big issues....i held off on the dwnpipe etc. for that reason...just keeping it as simple as i can for now...also looking into the quick shifter from Cobb...just seems the only big issue that could arise is the reverse crap and the pulley....just my opinion but i am paying to get a lot of it installed for a paper trail and proof of licensed mechanics doing the work, they seem to frown on do it yourself installs....
