New member - 2007 WRX Wagon

    Greetings,
Just picked up a 2007 WRX Wagon, all stock with 45,000 miles for a great deal. Wanted to say hi as I plan to visit these forums on a daily basis. I'm a long time car freak, and love motorsports. I own a 1998 Mustang Cobra Convertible with a handful of engine and suspension mods. This is my first turbo car and its a blast. Thinking of getting out and running the WRX in some local autocross events.

Looking for advice on oil brand. In my Cobra I use Mobil 1 and its works well. But what about these turbo boxer motors? Thanks.

    Nice pick up! Looks great!

Do you know what has been used on it before? A lot of people like Mobile 1, Rotella, or just the Subaru OEM oil.

As Foxy said up there, people's oil opinions will all vary.

Good question. The carfax showed oil changes performed at the dealer, so guessing OEM. Looks like classic Mobile is safe. Thanks guys.

Thank you. Let me tell you - it's hard to find these cars clean with low miles. I searched for 6 months. And when you do find one, chances are its sold before you can even take a look at it...thats what happened to me. Not to mention they charge a premium for these wrx's.
