22k-24k is what I would pay.
I believe when i went the guy told me about 26k and he couldn't stop saying how they hold their resale value so good. but seemed a lil pricey. almost as much as a brand new wrx haha. That was another question, hows the resale value on the WRX?
Resale value on these cars are very very good. 26k isn't entirely unreasonable. NADA lists "clean retail" at that.
you can buy a new one cheaper then that with no miles, i've noticed none subaru dealers are over priced. they just know people will pay that, i'd search for a better deal.

ya I don't think anybody could get a new wrx for under 26k. Especially in SoCal. Would offering the dealership 25k OTD be good enough. Sales tax here is 8.25.

I just bought my base DGM wrx for $25,343+fees on 5/30/12. Couldn't justify buying a used one because I figured most subie guys love their cars and would only get rid of it if there's either 1) something messed up with it or 2) an accident or something that was not reported leaving a clean title. That plus consider that you can get 1.9% for 36-48 mo or 2.9% for 60-72 mo on a new wrx in ca and it'll prob end up being cheaper than a $25k used wrx with a higher rate.

There are a lot more reasons than that to get rid of a new Subaru...buy a Mustang GT instead, don't like it, find out they can't handle payments/insurance, gas mileage not good enough, new kid on the way, divorce, buying a house instead, debt to pay off, etc...
