    New to the club!

Just bought a 12 wrx Premium a few weeks ago!

Anyone have any advice about break in and for how long? I've read not to go racing or do anything crazy which i haven't. I don't think i've ever gotten the RMP's higher than 5k driving (two or three times)

    Any suggestions welcomed!

    Welcome

The user manual outlines the break-in procedure Subaru recommends. Do you trust the people who build thousands of these cars a year or some idiot on the Internet?

As stated, Subaru do, in the manual. I'd follow the manual.

    Any suggestions welcomed!
Thanks but if it were me, I'd not welcome suggestions. I'd follow the manual.

I think you'll enjoy the car, the new ones are much more refined now and much quicker too. Welcome.

Keep it under 4k and vary speed (no cruise control), no hard starts or stops, all for the first 1000 miles. As per the manual.
