    Hello all! Wanted to say hey and introduce myself, my name is Matt. I just traded my '05 Nissan Xterra (heavily modded for off-roading) and got a '12 WRX hatch at the end of last month. This is my first Subaru and first manual. My wife drives a VW GTI and with the Xterra starting to give me problems it was time to get something fun to drive. I've been reading all the Stickies and trying to get a general understanding of the WRX. You guys have sooo much more info than the Nissan Xterra world! Already threw some money towards the site because I'm sure I'm pulling quite a bit of bandwidth with all the reading I've been doing and I'm sporting some plate covers too! Hopefully I'll run into some local members, already met some from FlatFourLV and they're cool guys. Just broke the 1000mile mark so now I can really drive it. I've been driving every chance I get... Thanks, Matt and of course pictures

    Welcome !! Awesome rock-crawling pic in xTerra !! Will be a big change ... no more fear of breaking down in the middle of those rocks. WRX is almost too much fun ... very quick and decent gas mileage. Hard to beat a car that runs 13's in the 1/4 and gets nearly 30mpg, huh. I enjoy taking off-ramps at 45 and watching the cars behind me disappear in the distance. Best handling car I have ever driven short of a track cart. Have fun and keep on modding !!!

    Updated with tinted pictures. They aren't dark but they reflect Vegas heat and that's the important part

    It was basically stock except for the suspension when I traded it in. It's hopefully going to live out it's days where I left it at the Timmons Subaru in Long Beach. I do miss it quite a bit, like when I want to see the traffic down the road. The height difference is crazy!

    Is it tacky to put gold rims on? I'm also thinking these need to go up a size to fill some of that wheel well but then again I'm coming from a 33" tire on 16's...

    I really wanted the white but it's aparently the hardest thing to get ahold of so I went with the Rally Blue that was on hand. No regrets
