Welcome!! ...But what if we say 'no'?

I'll only answer because you asked though, even though I fear the answer will not make you happy: I just sold a 2005 Matrix XR with 215,000 miles in really really great shape for $6200 and got my brand new 2012 WRX with no miles for under invoice + a few modifications at invoice also. I'm also in SoCal, so our market is the same.

Regardless of how much you got for the Matrix and how much you ended up paying for the WRX, you won't regret it. In my opinion, the WRX is a fantastic value even if it were $5k more expensive.

By the way, which dealership did you go with? I just picked up my DGM hatchback (a week ago tonight!) at Sierra Subaru in Monrovia.

Is the wrx a base, limited, premium? What options does it have? How much are they giving you for the trade-in? Those things will all make a great impact on the value of the deal.

    Welcome!

Unfortunately I have to say that wasn't a great price you paid, but the most important thing is how you like the car.

pin -----> bubble (curmudgeons----I know, he asked)

Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is vehicle worth. You see what you like, you drive the deal which will work for you based upon your needs (yes, lust and desire are needs to be fulfilled), then you take the plunge.

I'm sure you'll love the car!! Congratulations and post some pics.
