Car Just Got to the Dealership!

So I was talking to the dealership, working on arraigning financing, and the Business Manager told me that my car actually just rolled off the truck. So, of course I drove over and had to look!

It still needs a couple of the options I ordered installed, but at least it is here!!

I did not take too much time to really check the paintwork, as it is raining/snowing and obviously is will be easier to spot any flaws when it is clean and dry. I took a few pictures before I got soaked. Enjoy!

Haha, no they're just reflectors. I was caught off guard in person when I saw the flash reflection.

Delivery won't be for a few days, still need the boost gauge and exhaust finishers installed. Supposed to be nicer come Wednesday, so hopefully I can give a thorough going over before I accept it.

Yes they are. Just got the financing set too. I was able to use some credit unions to leverage the financial guys at Subaru. They originally told me they would be around 3.9%, got them down to 2.75%. Saved about $600 right there over the life of the loan, assuming I don't pay it off early.

    Congrats!

Are you a detailing guy? (based off your comment about the paint)

From what I've seen personally and from hanging around boards, don't be upset to find the paint to be in bad shape haha. The guys who've been very paint/detailing/etc oriented that've gotten their new car since I've been lurking around have all immediately done some work.

I'm not a detailing guy per se (sp?), but my dad and I like to do car restorations for a hobby, so we have a few paint jobs under our belts.

I expect the usual swirl marks or even some orange peel (they say you can always tell a repainted 280zx by the fact that it won't have the "factory orange peel."), but any chips, dents, or scratches won't be acceptable. I figure when you are paying quite a chunk of money for a car, the paint should be as near flawless as humanly possible when you pick it up. I know that Subaru's paint isn't known to be the best for durability, but is should at least be intact when it rolls of the lot.

There wont be any chips in the paint when you pick it up at the dealer(if the dealer is careful). You'll collect them on the drive home.

Haha, there'd better not be, but I'd be a fool not to check.

My dad once picked up a car at night, and didn't notice till the next day that it had a nice crunch in the bottom of the bumper, which the dealership said probably happened when they took it off the truck. Luckily the dealership accepted responsibility and took care of it.
