Personally, I love the rear end of the sedan, but think that it is a bit too boxy for the rounder front end. I felt that the hatch styling tied in with the front styling slightly better. When I see a front one shot of a 2008+ WRX or STI, I always just mentally assume that it is a hatch based on the shape of the front. Plus the added utility is nice. I think if the front end was slightly boxier it would have been a much tougher decision.

I've owned 4 vehicles. Civic hatch , tundra, gti 4dr hatch, now wrx hatch. I personally love the look of a hatchback. 5dr FTW for me.

All personal preference! I have a sedan but at times would like a hatch although I still don't think you could fit a piece of 4x8 plywood in the back! Correct me if I'm wrong.

I picked the Sedan since I had a Firebird though it was A 2dr but at times it was categorized as a 3dr so natural progression is a 4dr. Looks like the next will be a hatch.

Dude that's a job for truck... Period... An 8 foot ANYTHING in a hatchback? Maybe with all the seats laying down and no place for a driver to sit...

Or a minivan. My parent's old Caravan easily swallowed a stack of 4x8 plywood, doors closed. (both rear seats folded down, but that took all of 10 seconds to do.) It was remarkable how much that van could carry.
