    New Owner- Simple Question!

    Hey I just purchased an 04 WRX and the previous owner mixed his oil changes with regular and synthetic oil.
    Should I continue mixing it or fill it with 100% synthetic or regular?

    do yourself a favor and dont mix your oil. its really a matter of opinion on whether to use reg or synthetic.. i personally use rotella t6 (synthetic) and have no complaints.

    Let tribologists determine oil formulations, it's part of the price you pay when you purchase oil. Just pick a product and use that, straight. However, all API oils (and all ACEA oils within a specific class) are by definition miscible, so you can top up with whatever if necessary.

    I like synth, but it's not worth the cost if your engine burns it... Then you're better off using regular...
    You can't have everything - where would you put it?
