    OK, guys. I'll say it.

It was a retarded observation -- based on my lack of expertise as well as on my childish excitement about the idea of such a gorgeous flat-six boxer engine being rear-mounted.

Wonder why Subaru has apparently never thought of rear mounting this engine...

Hope everyone got a good laugh from my weird post.

^Quite the cast of characters around here these days

If they could just make it FWD, then put the body on backwards and put in some extra reverse gears it would rock.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the hospitality -- even though I did "dance on my shlang" on the first post... hehehe. This seems like a good group, and a bit zany.

My mechanical experience is mostly limited to Honda motorcycles and racing motocross in the 1970's.

    Thanks again.

yes another bike freak! I was going to say that the steering is attached to the wheels behind the motor and the tires are facing backwards so it must be a rear wheel steer as well lol..

This is a flat 6 you said? Is it a Turbo?

Ok, guys. I don't want to make a lot of excuses for my directional confusion, but...

If you look at this photo of a WRX STI chassis...

It doesn't look like that humongous engine will fit under the hood of this car...

Does that make my blunder any more understandable??? hehehe...
