    Welcome! I lived in Gulfport for 8 years until Oreck moved out of the Long Beach plant not long after Katrina. Miss Cruisin the Coast in October and some honest-to-goodness Gumbo!

    The Gumbo is what keeps me here! If make it back to the coast, stop in ocean springs and grab bowl on me. I own a restaurant and we make some wicked good gumbo!

    No way! What's the restaurant? I used to make it out there for Tato-Nuts at least every few weeks!

    It's the government Street Grocery. We are right next door to tato nut. I opened about 6 months before Katrina.

    Well if I'm ever back that way, I'll definitely pop in and check you guys out! It has been years, although I have made some gumbo at home that passes for decent.
