On 2/17. And the dealer as nothing for me.
No.. Von and VIN. Is this type or thing normal.
Or should I go somewhere else. And all put a depost down.
    Looking for some input.

IIRC it took the dealer many weeks to get info. I called SOA after 2 or 3 weeks and they had a VIN and estimated delivery date.

By all reports, the dissemination of info is a bit spotty. So I don't think your experience is out of the ordinary or anything to worry about. Just a pain in the butt.

    If I Recall Correctly

You could call Subaru of America, although I think I only called them after I had an order number. They might still be able to look you up by name however.

Quite common.Time from order to delivery is a maximum of 10-15 weeks.

SOA will be able to tell you if they have something on your order.Call or email them with name of dealership, date order placed & naturally your name.

Yeah I ordered a 2012 wrx in WRC blue last month and they said middle April, they called to say it had left the plant etc etc but no VIN yet, wouldn't stress on it i work in a VW dealer and we don't give people the VIN until they pick the car up (bit different here maybe though in Aus land).

I'd order asap if you are worried about getting it soon. The wait is pretty much going to be the same no matter where you go, because the vast majority of the wait time is spent building the car in Japan and shipping it here. One dealership to the next in a given area isn't going to have any advantage.

I did order it. It just the dealer I went to. Says they have no info for me. And saying the reason why might be cause it has not been built yet. This is week number 3. I guess I'll just tough it out and wait. Hope for the best.
