    Just signed the dotted line!!

I just purchased my first ever Subaru! I traded in my '04 Acura TSX and I picked up a 2012 WRX Limited in WR Blue! 65 miles on her. I signed the papers and pick her up tomorrow. I can't wait. I absolutely love the car.

^ This! I'm sitting here already planning my mods at midnight. It has been a while since I've had the mod bug (TSX never did it for me) and I definitely miss it!.

Swapping out the shift knob ASAP and over analyzing the break-in period are my current projects. Do you guys recommend following the manual's break-in procedure or going with the harder version of accelerating and decelerating (all under 5k rpms) rapidly to really set the piston rings?

    Thanks for the welcoming.

haha. Been doing that for the past week and mine hasn't even arrived yet :P
I got the SPT exhaust from factory so that should hold me over for a while and then the short shifter is probably next. First big purchase will most likely be the Cobb AccessPort but i wanna enjoy a stock ride for a while. I have/had an 04 TL and it sits pretty low.

    Welcome!

I think all the wise long-timers here will recommend you just stick to the manufacturer's break in procedure, as difficult as that may be.

Personally I'm planning on just driving as much as possible in the grandma fashion to get that thousand miles out of the way!
