Late 2010 I traded of my 7 year old Mini Cooper for an Impreza 2.5i 5 door in hopes of getting a more user friendly daily driver. I was looking for more interior space, some cargo space and something more friendly on long trips. The 2.5i worked for a while, but I soon came to loath it. It handled like a brick on a water bed, no power and a laundry list of other annoyances, many stemming from the sun roof and a faulty hill start assist the dealer can not fix. As a result, the car has been sitting in the garage, not driven, for about 4 months. That is a problem. On a whim, I stopped at the Subaru dealer on the way home from work one night. Test drove a WRX sedan and really liked the car. Most of the annoyances of the 2.5i were gone, and I forgot how much I missed a sporty suspension. Before long, I was telling the dealer to get me STi sedan. It has been on order for two weeks. The wait is killing me....

Actually no. I am a mechanical engineer. Frank Necrosis was a pseudonym my uncle used whenever he traveled. He was MD and involved heavily with several criminal drug rehab programs. He needed some cover when he traveled with his family.

He ended up dying from prostate cancer a few years ago. At the same time, I became involved with flat track roller derby and needed a derby name. I chose to keep his pseudonym alive. A nasty as frank necrosis is, it has a special meaning for me.
