Be prepared to put some serious $$ away.

Stock, you're putting only 170 hp to the wheels. You're talking about doubling your power output.

Figure you'll be purchasing a larger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, larger TMIC, exhaust, intake, boost solenoid, external wastegate, uppipe, and engine management at the very least... not to mention an aggressive tune. Meth injection will sure help. You'll probably want to upgrade your brakes, suspension, and driveline bushings to handle the extra power. Put some money away for a motor rebuild and transmission rebuild since you'll be pushing your luck with the 2002 tranny at 300whp.

Seriously, I would recommend a 3" turboback exhaust, uppipe, and tune to start. You'll be at about 230whp which is a great improvement over stock.

yeah i'm probably going to start with what you recommended and then do some 255 walbro, drivelin bushings, brakes and suspension to begin. then go into the bigger pieces of it. i will be the only one driving this car and do not plan on beating on it. but i do worry about the trans more than anything.

any suggestions on like what brands to stay away from or to use for the uppipe down pipe etc. and what to do about the trans besides the expensive ppg and dogbox.

One thing about your desired stance...it's not the most conducive to properly putting 300whp to the ground.

I'm not one for herrafrush, but I like a nice clean low stance. Excessive camber and tucking aren't necessary. But a wheel that fills out the fenders/wells nicely, but still has a proper offset...can be awesome. Just keep on reading and researching and you'll figure out what's best, and how to best attain that result CORRECTLY.

hhaha trust me i know. my desired look and stance isnt really good for anything but scraping along every street. but i'm leaning more towards like no wheel gap, with nice rims, offset, and stance. no crazy camber or poke on stretched tires. and yeah i gotta do a lot more research i dont want to just throw it together. i want it to be right. and monmouth county you?

Now that sounds like a damn good plan. Poke around here and on Nasioc, you will see plenty of people who do have a good stance just like what you are saying now.

I live in Philly right now but grew up in Burlington County. I know the entire state well due to all my friends from college living everywhere, including Monmouth!

There used to be some in Edison on Rt 1 by an Applebees or something...but not too sure there. But every few months, we do a meet in Downingtown, PA at Marsh Creek State Park, and then at the Victory Brewery for some food and good beer. Always a great turn out. Keep tabs in the Tri-State Regional boards on ClubWRX and you'll get all the info you need!
