    Woohoo, finally! 2011 SSM Wrx

Picked up my car yesterday! It was between The wrx and the Ms3. So glad I went with the Wrx. The great thing about this car is I don't see any around. Mustangs, Camaro's are around every corner, not many around here in the Atl. area that I have seen. Dealer installed options, Window tint, Short throw shifter, and front lip spoiler..

    Here are a few pics

Congrats man! SSM is my favorite color on the 11 by far. I like the front lip. It's subtle but gives a nice enhancement. Just don't pull up on parking stops too far!

Thanks, How important is breakin? I hear you shouldn't rev over 4K until you reach 1K. Others say drive it like you stole it..

This morning on my way home from riding around a guy in a mustang was messing with me on some twisty back roads. I reved up to about 6K in 3rd and 4th just playin around. Only did it the one time. I wouldn't think short spurts over 4K every now and again wouldn't hurt.

Whatever the manual tells you should hold true.Under 4K for the first 1K.

But it is your car.If it were me,I'd stick to the manual.

Yeah for the break in, just open your manual. Everything you need to know is in there. I did my first 1000 miles strictly by the book.

you wont 'hurt' the car by going over 4k in the first 1000 miles. That is a veryy conservative number on subaru's part because they just don't want people trashing the car right off the lot and then flipping out when their car breaks... It is a good idea to run the car to 6400-6500 rpms in second gear within the break in period. Contrary to what most people believe, this helps properly seal components within the engine. Also if you completely baby the car within the first 1000-1500 miles and then start driving it hard, it WILL be damaging to the car because it hasn't been exposed to that kind of treatment. The sequential multiport system learns the way you drive by the way, so all im saying is dont go from babying it, to launching and going mad :P

Congrats on the car man, looks good!
