    Horn Options

I know the Hella Supertones are probably the loudest horns you could get but I'm not a big fan of how high pitched it is. I don't want a trucker horn or anything but I was just wondering if anyone knows of another good horn option.

lol... if I got this horn I would have to weld my doors shut and paint it orange with a confederate flag on top.

Why are you worried about the pitch of it? Do you really use your horn that much that you care how it sounds that much?

Why does it matter? I'm just looking for help with a question I had, not to be criticized for asking a question.

    Who's criticizing you? Somebody's a little sensitive.....

I'm just curious. Do you want to answer the questions or just get your panties in a bunch for no reason?

Hella Supertones sound like crap. I like the look, which is the only reason I've kept them. Part of me wants to leave them but just reconnect the stock ones, but that's kinda like having a front mount interfooler...

I'm not mad or sensitive... I know it's impossible to read any kind of inflection in text but so far you've been unhelpful and a little insulting, so I think you should relax a little big guy.

I just don't see why it matters how much I use my horn and why I want to change it. I asked for help finding a different horn, not what you think about it...

I have the Supertones myself. They are loud as hell (if wired properly with a relay directly to the battery), but do sound tinny. That being said, the point of a horn is not to sound good, it's to get people's attention, and the supertones do that in spades. When my car alarm goes off, it wakes the dead.

If you're looking for alternatives, I've heard good things about these: Amazon.com: HELLA 007424801 Twin Trumpet High/Low Tone 12V Horn Kit with Bracket: Automotive

They aren't as loud as the Supertones, but I'm told they sound better.

Where I live a good horn is essential.Plus I like the look.

I also agree it is a great addition to the factory alarm. When that alarm goes off, people take notice.I almost went deaf once when I set it off myself by mistake & I was not even standing in front of the car.

Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.
