    Just got a 2006 STi

I just bought it yesterday, everything was going great, I love the car. Today, I take it for a drive and I notice the check engine light has come on, the cruise control light is flashing, and there is a noticeable shake at idle that was not there yesterday. I'm looking for anyone who may have experienced these same issues and what it could possibly mean?!

The CEL will have generated a code. See if you can get that read for free at a local auto parts store or somehow find out the code and post it.
The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry. Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms, 1929

Where did you buy the car from? A CEL is something that can make or break a sale.. It can't be on for a dealership to sell a car since it won't pass emissions that way..
