"Most likely switching"!? $1440 a year vs. $3800 a year should be a "I will be switching".

I pay right about the same at $734/yr for a 2011 WRX clean record and I am 28.

Now that sounds like a much better deal. As long as you didn't drop your coverage amounts to dangerously low levels, you did well. Doesn't saving money feel good?

Since your only 19 you can probably get rolled into your parents insurance, which will save you a ton due to the fact there will multiple vehicles under the same name. This is what I do. I'm 21 and I'm under my parents insurance plan and only pay $97/month. My driving record isn't perfect and I have had multiple tickets in the past couple years. Not sure what your situation is but just my $0.02

I was paying $2500+ a year and my insurance was $1500 for my Protege5. Wow, is the WRX really cost that much to insure? Thank god I just moved to a better area and it went down to $1480.

AAA quoted me $220 a month and geico quoted me $87 a month with higher limits and lower deductables, geico wins.
