As for Oil... The oil consumption issue seems to mostly be on the older models, but at the same time... brand of oil matters as well. Some have had horrid mobil 1 consumption issues, whereas I for one have had perfectly fine success with mobil 1. No consumption, and no other problems. It's kind of a case-by-case thing.
